I remember the first time I went to crackers, friday lunchtime,, in my BEST soul boy clothes, outfit. I was on a misiion to witness the legendary soulboy dancer god dj conussier, Trever Shakes, drop some moves. I’d heard so much about him as I was also from east london. He did not dissapoint. In fact he made my day by coming or should I dancing up to me whilst he was being watched in a circle doing his thang. Fromk mthen on I became a Treveor groupie. I went on to have a huge influenc ein my life as a dancer/actor. He was the one who inspired my group,Torso to form. The highlight of which was us, Torso performing at the legendary re-opening party of the first super club,, Studio 54. Thanks to Trevor we were giving the yanks some home grown boogie.. We went on to have our own club, Studio 21 and later spats long before many of the known clubs.
